The Parent Engagement Partners used the Parent & Family Engagement Manifesto as an advocacy tool, which led to the Portland School Board passing a resolution to rewrite the districts’ Family Partnership Policy to better reflect the aspirations of families in the community. Portland Empowered parents sat on the committee and others informed drafts of the new policy.
